Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, on the occasion of the National Day Against Untouchability today, sent a message of good wishes saying that the government has legally put an end to this inhumane practice, which is a stigma of human civilization.
While the government is saying that it cannot tolerate such activities against untouchability, the Rukum incident is spreading from the streets to the parliament.
I know that at this time, the father and mother of the children of Jajarkot are in unbearable pain. You are emotional. You are isolated. Wouldn’t my words hurt them? It scared me. My purpose is not to hurt anyone but to heal the wounds.
The word death sounds terrible in itself. It sounds very unpleasant and harsh. But ironically, everyone knows that death is an eternal truth. And, as everyone knows, death is complicated to accept. Moreover, the death of a child is terribly unbearable for parents.
But there is no alternative to acceptance. You are accepting the death of your child by gathering all the courage today. May God grant the family the strength to endure.
The children of this earth have died, even if someone killed them out of duty and someone encouraged them to die. A mother’s arms are empty, Cheli’s vermilion is wiped.
Personally, I don’t know what Susma and Nawaraj were like. As written on the wall of social media, they were either very good or completely bad. Time separates milk from milk, water from water. I believe that the evaluation of a person should be based on his deeds.
The world is in the twenty-first century. The development of knowledge, science, and technology has brought about an unprecedented revolution in human civilization. People feel that the earth is narrow. In the near future, people will be able to move to other planets. So, ironically! We, the citizens of our country, are living in the dark age of extreme superstition. It is the government’s responsibility to bring the citizens from the dark age of extreme superstition to the bright age of science.
The government is talking loudly about prosperity. Moreover, the Prime Minister was not talking about anything other than railways and ships. His dream is the ship and the train. When ships and trains start running in Nepal, let’s say Nepal becomes a paradise. No Nepali is sad, poor, helpless, helpless.
No Nepali dies in famine due to a lack of medical treatment. No Nepali youth has to go to sweat in the 55-degree heat of Arabia in search of employment. And after the ships and trains started jumping in Nepal, no teenager or a young girl in the cowshed should be bitten by a snake and die in a famine.
Adolescents should not be raped in the cowshed by any stray animals. Being a lower caste, one does not have to suffer humiliation and torture on the basis of touching the stream from the so-called upper caste. No social, cultural, religious, economic discrimination, nothing has to be raised because ships and trains will be running in our country.
Let’s assume that ships and trains started running in Nepal from tomorrow! After all, what do the class-based Nepali people get? What do ethnic, regional, and gender-discriminated people get? Those who benefit from that growth and prosperity are the same as they were yesterday and are today.
The country will not prosper by adding your dream list day by day. There is no peace and security in the country. It’s not about prosperity; it’s about culture. Building a prosperous society is not possible without a prosperous culture.
Some of the religions, cultures, and traditions that have existed in society since time immemorial are good. We should all protect it. The state should enact strict laws and demolish some of them that need to be reformed over time, some of which need to be demolished by force. Don’t carry inhumane things in the name of religion, culture and tradition.
It is not possible to eradicate the superstition culture that has been planted by the rulers for centuries for their own selfish ends. In order to change people’s thinking and culture, the government must go to the people with planned and empowered programs. At the same time, it is necessary to make the necessary rules and regulations and implement them effectively. However, the government does not have any such clear policy or program.
Every day, big or small things happen in society due to superstition. Some events create chaos in society, while some create discrimination. Some incidents kill people and some incidents cause loss of property. How will prosperity come unless such superstitious culture, which is becoming a stumbling block for the country and society, is brought to an end?
People die because of superstition. Social media is colored for two or four days. The government puts oil on its ears and does not listen. The protest gradually subsides. Eventually disappears. Then the government rules over the people in the old style with shame.
Communism means communist. Communism is impossible without the end of superstition and the adoption of science in people’s thinking, thinking, behavior, and social culture.
All people have and should have their own private lives. If it is injustice, it will not be forgiven. Revenge does not bring peace anywhere in the family, society, country. The inevitable consequence of revenge is murder, violence, and conflict. Do we want another conflict? Certainly not.
Finally,
It has been argued that the president’s luxurious life is necessary for the dignity and rank of the country. When all the citizens of the country are happy and healthy, then the dignity of the country will automatically rise like the summit of Mount Everest. By keeping the people below the absolute poverty line, the president, prime minister, ministers and leaders have lived a luxurious life of billions, not crores.
Your proverb does not make a country. Leaders suggest you think 20 times before speaking. Do what you say, even if it means drinking poison.
Now we need real dreams, not cheap dreams. Please! Stop accusing and fighting in the name of nationalism, treason, capitalism, socialism, communism. At least learn to respect the personal freedom of the citizen. Work for the country and the people.
