The world community is planning to establish human settlements on the moon and other planets. New technologies and inventions of the 21st century are being discovered day by day. With the development of human civilization, the world community is thinking about how to be technically and economically prosperous.
In Nepal, however, superstition, conservatism, and cult are still entrenched. One can easily guess the extent of inhuman, insensitive, and cruel cruelty shown in the society by the Rukum incident.
Awakening the unscientific, violent, inhumane culture of caste untouchability as the root of discrimination, we are engrossed in killing our own community as second-class citizens and spending all our energy and resources to do so disrupt social harmony.
The massacre of an innocent youth of the same age, including Naba Raj BK, on the pretext of falling in love with an alleged upper-caste girl in Rukum, is a vivid example of ethnic egoism. What is clear from this is that caste and untouchability, protected by cruel people as the mainstay of social culture for thousands of years, have succeeded in occupying a large part of every Nepali’s mind.
Whether educated or uneducated, it is deeply ingrained in everyone’s mind. Due to this, there is no possibility of removing this stigma from our Nepali society so easily.
In order to remove this stigma by making rules and regulations, the National Act of 2020, BS has put an end to untouchability and caste discrimination.
But recent events have shown that all these legal provisions and issues mentioned in the constitution are only on paper. They are never applied in practice.
How to apply? There are people in law enforcement who do not believe that untouchability is bad for society.
Let alone the people of a village in Rukum, this delusion persists even among those who call themselves heroes of social change since they claim to have a Ph.D.
As an example of this, by playing Holi in the blood of the people, sharing false dreams and using the people who have dreamed of liberation as a shield, the then ruling Maoist leaders Prachanda, Janardan Sharma, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Shakti Bahadur Basnet and Nabaraj’s have been killed day and night to save the criminals. It has violated justice.
Salt has been sprinkled on the wounds of the victims. It is very unfortunate. Looking at his own reflection in the mirror, it is clear that Nabaraj was killed and thrown into the river. However, it is not hidden from the world that all kinds of conspiracies are being hatched to free the criminals. If the truth is suppressed, the people will put an end to the political parties along with the Nawarajs.
In the present age, keeping superstitions and stigma like untouchability will make it difficult even for Nepalis living abroad to walk with their heads held high, saying that I am Nepali. The days of being proud to be Nepali may come to an end.
Therefore, we, the proponents of all justice and every human community that does not follow superstition must constantly raise their voices from their place to bring justice to those who have lost their lives due to great injustices like the Nabaraj.
It is not just a question of killing a Dalit; it is a murder of whole humanity. The rule of law is the culmination of ridicule and superstition. Today the whole world is watching.
If justice is played out in the name of politics and power, Nepal will have to face the International Court of Justice. Those in favor of injustice should be held accountable for its impact on the entire country. Nab Raj BK is not the first person to lose his life while having a love affair with the so-called upper castes. But in the days to come, no new king should have to lose his life based on love, even if it is for the respect of the rule of law and the protection of humanity. This lies with you, the proponents of justice.
Let’s rise above stinking and narrow mindedness like ethnicity and take the initiative to give justice to the NaBarajs. Due to which a black history was written in the history of Nepal, but now this black day should never be repeated.
Everyone knows that great injustice has been done to the Nawarajs. However, many dignitaries today are reluctant to protest and help the Nawarajs get justice openly. There is a fear in my heart that someone will make fun of me for supporting Dalits.
If you have humanity, you can sit today in place of father and mother of Nab Raj BK, Sanju BK, Ganesh Budha, Lokendra Sunar, Tikaram Sunar, Gobind Shahi.
How would you feel if someone killed your beloved child and threw it into the river? Yes, the same fate befell the guardians of the Nab Raj BK. Therefore, it is the job of all humanitarians to bring such criminals to justice.
The dead are dead, but today every member of the community, which has a population of more than 6 million, is dying day by day while living in the Hindu culture. Now they have endured to the end. There have been many peaceful movements. But all failed.
If Nab Raj is killed today, they are living in fear and terror that their own children will be killed tomorrow. Therefore, it cannot be said that they will not take up arms tomorrow if it is not for superstition and superstition in time.
There is a limit to anything, when injustice and oppression reign beyond the limits, people do not shy away from sacrificing their lives to stop it.
Therefore, regardless of any ethnic, religious or regional issue, it is imperative that all of us, who are proponents of justice and have a human heart, raise their voices to bring justice to Nab Raj and his family.
Let us all pledge that no Naba Raj will have to lose his life in the days to come because of love.
