New York’s Nepalese Support Group, the urgent Nepali aid network, for COVID-19 has provided various support to 100 families in New York so far. The group has provided support to 100 Nepali families in New York through group members and NRN New Chapter president Ramhari Adhikari. Ramhari said, “Not all families are corona-infected or symptomatic families. We are also providing support to families with different health conditions over the age of 6 and out.” In some way, they have given priority to the families directly affected by the Corona epidemic.

He said – ‘Only four families were added yesterday. We have also arranged for other patients besides Corona, to pick up their medicines if they are at risk. We are working to contact those who have the symptoms, such as a doctor, a medicine, and a thermometer.”

Corona is encouraging the infected and their families not to move out; He said that he would send groceries and household items to such families. According to the Aid Network for urgent COVID 19, there are currently twenty-three volunteers active. Most of the concerned families have paid the goods delivery fee and some volunteers and relatives of the affected families have paid, Adhikari said.

The exact number of Nepali infected with Corona in New York has not been made public. But various statistics have shown that corona infection has been confirmed in at least 500 Nepali.
